Experienced Support Workers ( DAY SERVICES/DAY SHIFTS ONLY ) Required to join our client’s Social Care Team with immediate effect.

Successful Applicants will support customers with either a Learning Disability or Mental Health need . Many of the customers also require support with other related physical and personal care needs, sensory, autism or forensic needs .

Our Client has two large Day centres based within the Sunderland Area.

The hours involve the worker having the ability to be flexible to meet the needs of the service. Services are based at Washington and Fulwell and the worker must be able to work at either of these services as and when required.

Day Centre Locations : Fulwell and Washington ( Sunderland)

Hourly: £ 8.25

Hours: 30 hours per week minimum

Shifts: Working Monday – Friday 6 hours per day between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm .

Role Duration will be on an initial 3-6 Month Basis ( to be reviewed thereafter with a view to been made permanent , depending on performance ).

Support worker –Day Services

Our services provide tailored support to adults who may be vulnerable within a day centre environment.

• We work to encourage individuals to be as self-sufficient as possible.
• We promote social interaction and skill building – supporting people to develop and maintain meaningful relationships.
• We help to develop skills knowledge and understanding, appropriate to the individual, offering a range of activities designed to promote positive outcomes.
• We develop strong relationships with family carers, recognising our role in providing a break for carers throughout the day.

For this role it is essential that you have the following skills and attributes below before applying:
