Our client based in Darlington Borough Council is looking to recruit a Lawyer Grade P, on a full time basis for 8 Months ( to be reviewed thereafter ). Experience of working within a large public sector organisation and proven experience of Lawyer Grade P is a MUST and should be highlighted on your CV.

Hours : 9:00 am – 17:00 pm

Hourly Rate : £16.05

Job Purpose:

Role will deal with community care matters [care act] and court of protection cases (S21a challenges; deprivation of liberty; S16 welfare applications). Some mental health work may be required to assist with displacement of nearest relatives and warrants on occasions

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To deal with a caseload of prosecutions, civil litigation, injunctions, housing, licensing, and employment dealing with such cases as may be required.
• To undertake legal research as required.
• Follow relevant policies, office procedures, quality and practice management standards.
